Prerequisites
- A Box enterprise account with the MCP server enabled by an admin. See Set up the MCP server.
- Codex installed.
Enable Box integration in Box
Admin- Sign in to the Box Admin Console.
- Go to Integrations and find ChatGPT - MCP either by using the MCP Category filter, or by using the search bar at the top of the page.
- Ensure the ChatGPT - MCP is enabled for your enterprise by setting the Availability status to Available to all users.
Use the integration
User In Codex app:- Open plugins.
- Search for Box.
- Add the integration to Codex.
In CLI
User- Run
/pluginsin Codex. - Search for Box in the plugins marketplace and install it.
